HOW TO REACT? FIRST SYMPTOMS OF BURNOUT IN YOUNG LEADERS

  • Aleksandra Kulik - President of the Sempre a Frente Foundation

Occupational burnout has become a disease of civilisation in the 21st century. More and more young people are struggling with it. The process of professional burnout develops slowly and manifests itself suddenly, usually with quite a high intensity. This is why we decided to organise this type of workshop. As part of the activities, the young male and female leaders explored knowledge on how to cope with stress and prevent burnout. During the activity, they reflected together on how they can take care of their own and their teams' well-being and shared leadership experiences in this area.

WORKSHOP SESSION:
HOW TO EFFECTIVELY SAVE FOR THE FUTURE?

  • Alina Prochasek - President of the Polish Council of Youth Organizations

Issues related to saving by Poles are of interest not only to banks, but also to various analytical institutions. Research carried out by the aforementioned institutions shows that our compatriots put aside relatively little (we are one of the last places in the European Union). There are many reasons for this. Among the most important are the lack of knowledge of how to save, and the lack of funds that can be put aside for the so-called "black hour". Participants in our workshop were able to learn how to save, how to plan their budget and monthly spending, as well as what and how to invest in order to multiply their savings with the least possible risk.

   14:50 – 15:50

PANEL ENTITLED:
„YOUNG LEADERS IN THE POLISH-GERMAN DIALOGUE”

Moderator: Alina Prochasek - President of the Polish Council of Youth Organization

  • Agnieszka Parol – Górna – Coordinator of European Youth Capital Lublin 2023
  • Michał Braun – Councilman of the City of Kielce
  • Angela Mierzwa - Nell Breuning Haus

More than 30 years have passed since the signing of the German-Polish Neighbourhood Treaty. Recently, there has been a lot of animosity and misunderstanding in relations between Warsaw and Berlin. Will the current generation of 20- and 30-somethings be able to strengthen relations between Poland and Germany and eliminate the risk of our countries drifting apart? What contribution can young leaders make to Polish-German relations in the Europe that we will find in a decade or so? We will try to answer these and other questions during our panel.
