European Meeting Center – Nowy Staw Foundation is implementing a project entitled "Let's promote #Solid@rity" - a public task co-financed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the framework of the Public Diplomacy 2020 – New Dimension competition.
The aim of the project is to promote the broadly understood solidarity among young people and the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the Independent Self-Governing Trade Union "Solidarity". The project also involves the recording of short video interviews among representatives of the government, local governments, journalists and business representatives about what solidarity means for them, conducting 3 online debates and workshops, and the promotion of the project in foreign press.
An important element of the project is the promotion of the 40th anniversary of signing the Gdańsk Agreement among young Europeans, as well as showing the role of the Independent Self-Governing Trade Union "Solidarity" which it played in the fall of communism in Poland and in the countries of Central and Eastern Europe. The above-mentioned goal is to be achieved through the participation of young people from Central and Eastern European countries in the project, which will be carried out online and will allow Participants to safely take part in it.
As part of the project, participants will also take part in the 15th Economic Forum of Young Leaders – Online, which will take place on September 8-10 in virtual space.
