Film "Last Fisherman", meeting with the film director.
This section will provide you the unique opportunity to see the pre-release screening of the new documentary movie “Last fisherman” in Poland and to meet with movie co-creator and producer Leo Kaserer – the Austrian youth worker and promoter of volunteering service.
Last Fisherman is a reflection and celebration of one’s man life; a life that has impacted more than just a community, but the next generation. It provides a reminder that progress, industrialism and rapid change can have a harmful impact on industries, communities and individuals. Not to mention the legacy of our forefathers. Nevertheless, in the face of change there are individuals stout of heart who band together; they favour the old ways, celebrate hard graft and always do a ‘proper job.
The film projection will be preceded by a short getting to know session.

While "coaching" has become a popular term in recent years, the popular image of this tool is slightly distorted. This workshop is meant to introduce the participants to the classical coaching skills, explaining their real form, the specific conditions needed for optimal effects of coaching interventions, as well some alternatives to coaching for situations where other tools would be more suitable. Participants will learn what is the proper usage of coaching questions, discover some significant points about proper coaching attitudes, and master certain basic coaching exercises such as GROW or SWOT. While this workshop will not be sufficient to make anyone a coach – which is an impossible task for such a short time - participants should leave with practical skills, which they will be able to apply immediately in their organizations.

Although everyone sees the benefits of collaborating in these two sectors, success stories in this area are still rarities rather than a beaten track. How shall we build a start-up that will succeed? Where shall we get ideas for business? During the meeting, we will discuss issues related to the transition from the academic to business sector and threats related to the cooperation with public entities. We will also talk about success factors and opportunities provided by combining learning with business. The meeting will be an opportunity to learn from a practitioner why you should try your hand at business.

Poland, as the V4 country, is committed to restore Europe's spirit of innovation. The good economic performance of the European Union is ensured by the effective functioning of the single market, including the correct application of the principles of competitiveness and innovativeness. That is the reason why Poland focuses on the development of startups, supports the innovativeness of the economy by introducing new products, services, technological processes and management techniques. Digitalisation programs, science and business cooperation, commercialization of scientific research, support for innovative high-risk projects have been launched. It all makes us a country that responds adequately to the challenges of the modern world, resistant to modern economic shocks, and, on the other hand, it makes us a reliable partner for economic cooperation and discussion about the challenges of the European Single Market. Social and technological development necessitates changes in the education system because it must be tailored to its recipients’ needs. Consequently, education institutions are facing many challenges. The issue of synergy between formal and non-formal education is being increasingly raised, which results from the expectations of the job market. The European Programme Erasmus+, which celebrates its 30th Anniversary this year, shows that institutions and their beneficiaries are successful in the field of education in international environment.
